To 3M an AW M Sport, that is the question...

Visible seams, slight yellowing, etc. are the reasons why some don't apply 3M-type films on their white cars. 3M Scotchgard is the apparent answer and I have discussed the potentials with Raja. I want to hear the long-term experiences from the AW owners that have 3M Scotchgard on their vehicles.

Thank you in advance for the replies.

I hated mine in the beginning(bought with car). Then I saw all the crap that hits the bumper(I do a lot of highway driving and live in the boonies). Just for the sheer protection I'm keeping it. you can't tell from a distance. I do hate the visible seem though. Sigh it is roughly the same cost as just getting a new bumper in a few years.

I would only do the bumper and mirrors, that way you won't really see the lines.

That seems like a sensible middle ground.

More opinions are welcome.

Instead of using pre-cut 3M films, there are specialist 3M film installers who will do custom jobs. They will literally dismount your bumper and wrap the film behind the exposed part of the bumper. They can also wrap the the entire hood(or even the entire car).

You will not see a single seam but it is exceedingly hard to remove since you have to disassemble your car again the remove the film...the cost is also very high but better than getting your paint redone.
