Scrape and skretch marks help
Hi I scraped my new ride (3 days old) reversing out of my garage. I scraped lightly against the wood frame with some beige paint transfer.
In the following pictures is the best I can get it down to after I hit it with clay bars, goo gone, and wash and scrub. I don't want to go to a paint shop, I know I can't do much about the deep 1, and I don't have an orbital so I have to do whatever you suggest by hand, I just want to get rid of those scrub marks along the edge mostly. Any ideas? the scrub marks can't be felt with fingers so Im guessing they are clear coat scratches or really deep paint transfers. ps. don't hate on the ride, I still love my BMW more ![]() Thanks my brothens forgot the pics lol ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Go to wal-mart and get some Scratch-X and apply it with a MF pad. Don't be afraid to put some pressure on the pad, it will take some work. Most of that should come right off though.
Alot of those rubbing compounds you can buy in a store (turtlewax makes one) are very aggressive and not something I would use on paint. Some even specifically say that they are not to be used on a clear coat. They tend to do more damage than good. |
