Hi Everyone!

I'm very new to this forum and I wanted to offer my service to E90's/E92's.

I have modded 5 series (e60's) gauge clusters to look just like an M5/M6/M3. The E60's gauge cluster is identical to the e90/e92.

I'm looking for someone in the PA/NY/NJ/CT area to do this mod on a E90/E92.

The mod would take roughly 2 hours to do and it includes the LEDS, and the stickers, uninstall and reinstall of the gauge cluster.

Oh I forgot to post the reason for why I would only do it in the area. Its because I want to test everything before I plug and patch everything up on the car and test everything correctly.

Actually it is. The ring around the RPM gauge and the Speedometer is going to have a sticker placed on it. We can easily peel it off and desolder the LED's back to OEM. Just make sure you keep the OEM SMD's. I can give it to you for safekeeping. When is your lease up? Dealers won't even notice it. They are usually clueless.

Let me know. We can figure out something.

That looks pretty good! Are there any differences besides the LED color? Do you add an M sticker as well? Are they OEM LEDs such that the color is exactly the same as the M models or are these off the shelf LEDs?

The LED for the M cluster is slightly different. I'm not sure which color they use. But Its brighter than the M.

As for the M sticker. I can easily add that for you if you can provide a place buy it.

What do you mean by start up? Do you mean like the LCI, with the eyebrows / tails fading on when unlocking car?

Its not too bright at all. I wish I can show you in person. As u know, pictures are always deceiving, especially with digital cameras. Also, you can always adjust the brightness of the gauge too.

Since you are in NJ, you can always visit or meet up to take a look at the gauge if you are interested.

Yes. its better than OEM. =) You can always come by to NYC and take a look at my car if you want. I'm more than happy to show anyone in person that's skeptical about it.

Wow, that looks good. It's exactly what I want, however, also do not want to void my warranty. Good luck, I hope you get a lot of buyers. It really is a cool mod.

Thanks for the compliment. And yes. Of course I don't want to void the warranty, but I can guarantee that the look is pretty OEM.

Only thing that is changed is LEDS, which dealer cannot even see or tell.

But that is your choice and I wouldn't want to void ur warranty.

I wish I could, but its better to do it at my place or in Staten Island (my g/f's family's place). I'm there often.

It can be done in 2 hours, possibly less.

If you notice on your gauge / cluster, in the back of the RPM / Speedometer there is a circle, where you redline changes and your Cruise control marker is.

That is normally black, but on the M clusters, its white. Which i add a white label (with yellow on the RPM /redline side). Also I paint the needles red.

I attached an OEM one and notice the black piece behind the speedometer and RPM. That is where it turns white. I'll take a picture of what it looks like when I get home.
