Any recommendations for a suspension shop in PA/NJ?
Called 8 different local shops today for quotes on replacing front struts and an alignment for the wife's 325xi. Cheapest quote was $450, and most won't even do the work since I bought the struts myself. Not sure if it's a liability thing or the fact that they won't make money on the parts. Anyway, does anyone have any good shops they can recommend? I see people saying they've had theirs done for around $200. At that price I'm in, at $450 I'll be doing this in the driveway.
Thanks |

Recently found Corinthian Motorworks in Ramsey, NJ. They have a race center attached and are great people to deal with. They'll do basically anything. They have a reasonable hourly rate. They recently fixed my oil cooler and front sway bar. Tell them Dave Longo sent you

I'm not sure where you are in PA, but Bimmerworks in West Chester PA has done all the work on my car. I've supplied most of the parts myself.
http://bimmerworks.com/ They do the work right the first time.

Thanks man. That's not too far, about an hour. I'm in Bucks County, so it's just down the Turnpike really. I'll give them a call today for a quote. Thanks!

I don't know of any shops in your area but I am surprised that they are giving you a hard time. People buy parts for there BMW from us all the time and have there local indy install them.

Yeah, most shops around here were instantly telling me they won't touch the car if I bring the parts. I ended up talking to Steve at Bimmerworks for about 15-20 minutes. Super nice guy! I'm gonna get the car in there in a few weeks for a shakedown before replacing anything I think. He's willing to use parts I bring and has a boatload of knowledge on BMW's.
