from parking tickets

two days in a row, ive received parking tickets for expired, no plates

i did receive an application for renewal but the application expires last day of august, 2011

my plate has a sticker that says 09

so plate stickers expire on 1st of said month?
applications expire at end of said month?
inspection stickers expire on 1st of said month?

how the hell they mail me an application for renewal that expires in 2 years, when my plate supposedly expired at end of august??

how about being an ass to pedestrians who walk on my green light? give them tickets for general douchebaggery. every year as soon as colleges start back up, it's damn near impossible to go a night without running one of them dumb f#cks over. worst are the ones who feel it's their god given right to walk out there, 10 deep, and cross like a herd of 2 legged cows, and then stop because i come driving up and slam on my breaks right in front of them and they start screaming at me like i shouldnt be trying to go through my own green light. next kid that does that will get a can of mace in his f#king eyes

The last number on your plate (furthest to the right) must be an 8, which is month in which it expires (August). The sticker is the year, not the month, so your reg expired August 31st, 2009. Hence, you're expired.

And the application just shows you when the next expiration date will be, which is August 2011 since normal registrations are good for two years.

The application is what threw me off, cause it said expires 2011 so figured I had up until then to fill in the form and mail it in.

i would just try to fight everything if you had the time or better yet write a letter for the parking violations....it's 50/50 chance you'll get off.

it's always tough around college areas to drive even though you have the right of way.

cherry pie last night...i get home from work. i just moved back around around backbay area but there is kenmore/fenway parking available a few blocks away so i just walk to my apt...car is gone. after paying 105 bucks to btd, i look at ticket and it says im in a no standing zone.

last time i heard, standing parking was parking with engine idle. or parking while waiting in car with engine off. even better is that the sign is legally applicable for 200 yards. so even if there isnt a sign up on the block i parked, or even the next block, there could be a sign up on the 3rd block, still telling me i cant standing park there...even with a resident sticker...you shitting me? who has time to walk up and down 5 blocks just to see if there is a sign up??
