FS: Bassforms Sub Enclosure/Alpine 12" Type R

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I'm selling my custom enclosure from Bassforms with Alpine 12" Type R for $275 shipped. The enclosure ($299) and speaker ($199) would be around $500 if purchased separately. This is being sold as a complete unit only as the Alpine Type R is tuned and sealed in place in the enclosure. Please note this enclosure is designed for an e90 M3 or 3 series sedan without a trunk mounted CD changer on the left rear trunk wall.

There is some chipping in the fiberglass enclosure from installing the speaker (all my fault), but it's only cosmetic. Nothing that keeps if from sounding as it should...and it hits pretty hard with the Rockford Fosgate T400.2 that I used to power it. And it can be carpeted to cover the chips and better match the trunk.

PM if interested and payment will be through PayPal. Thanks.

The link below has pictures of the installation about half-way through.

How much power can that sub handle? how many ohms are the voice coils? Is it a single or dual voice coil. I have a RF Power 1000bd that is putting out 1350x1 @ 4ohms, and 2675x1 at 2ohms. I have to be real careful what I attach to this thing cause it will eat most subs for lunch.

type R's can usually take a lot of power. It SHOULD be a DVC, obviously the ohms is dependent on which he purchased.
