Both amazing exhausts. I went with AE. They offer a Quad exhaust that HKS doesn't, which i think looks amazing.
I think the sound of the AE is a bit nicer too.

Would I be able to cut the stock bumper in order to fit the quad's?
I won't get the mtech bumper until sometime next year.

Yeah you can cut the OEM stock bumper to fit but of course I suggest going with the M-tech bumper.

I actually checked Eric's several months ago and that's the reason why AE is definately one of my options here. A lot of ppl are really into the HKS's recently as well. Trying to make a final decision here.

David cut his E92 stock bumper to fit the AE quads. He also got a diffuser designed for the stock bumper, but I can't remember the brand.

No opinion on the HKS, as I've got the AE Dual setup on my '07 E90 335i. I'm pretty happy with it after some initial "adjustments" to the noise.

If you want to meet up for a test drive, shoot me a PM....

sup george,

HKS sounds nice! I got the chance to ride in a E92 that had that setup. No drone, only sounds aggressive when WOT, which is exactly what I'm looking for. Guess it's exhaust next for the both of us......LOL

BTW, how do you like your Rev.II?

sup Leland,
I love the Rev.2 and the AR DP. Thanks for your great recommendation.
As we can see, not that many ppl have the HKS compare to the AE. That's why I'm thinking maybe I should give it a try even though AE has been the one I wanted. Or maybe you can get the HKS and I'll get the AE, and we can do a swap couple years later.

I get some droning between 1800 to 2500 RPMs with medium and higher loads on the engine. Think pulling the Kennydale hill in 6th gear, or NE 3rd to the Highlands in 3rd.

This weekend will probably work. I'm pretty open on Sunday, but Saturday would have to be late afternoon/early evening at the earliest. Soccer and Huskies football to contend with. I'll shoot you a PM with my phone number.

LOL, well the thing is, if I decide to go with AE, then I'm doing quads. That was the only reason why AE came into consideration. But......as of yet, I haven't seen ANY worthy quad CF diffusor for E90s, so that's why it's taking me so long to pull the trigger........I just don't want to buy the HKS then come to find out that all I had to do was wait a few months for the quad CF diffusor to come out for the E90s, then I'll be REALLY PISSED! LOL.

I really want quads because I think the E90 rear end could be a little bit more aggressive........IMO.
