as title says, i have a jl 500/1 and 10w7 in a ported and tuned box made to fit the e92 trunk, in near new condition laying around (not really into the whole "bumping" scene much anymore, i get enough attention) paid around 1300 new..shoot me some offers if anybody is interested

I have this same setup in my E82 and it sound FANTASTIC, even when not "bumping." Very clean and quality setup.

thanks! very clean sounding setup, and it definitely "bumps". i could literally feel it vibrate my skull..looking for something less obnoxious, maybe a 8" now!

Exactly... When you crank this setup, it's definitely ridiculous; however, it's really nice and clean when it's not. Generally it's hard to get the best of both worlds.

The ported/tuned box is definitely somewhat large, but I still have well over 1/2 of my trunk available (and I have an E82). If you're worried about it taking up too much room, just find someone that does custom fiberglass work and you don't have to worry about it eating up too much space (the sealed enclosure requires less volume). Here's what I have coming for my E82:
