Another License Plate Question

Hey guys,
So my car is going to be registered in NY but I drive the car 90% of the time in PA.. in PA you dont need both license plates, only the rears. Will cops around give me a hard time about a NY law?

Thanks

I don't think so. I think the cops in PA can only enforce the laws in PA. If it is not a requirement in PA, they won't give you a ticket for not having the front NY plate.

^ that would be sweet if that was the case. Then when I was in NY, for the occasional weekend, I can put my front plate on my tow hitch. NICE

If you ran into a huge ass of a cop they could pop you a ticket for not having a front plate since the state where it is registered requires a front plate. Theres only a few instances where I've ever heard of this (cough*jersey*cough). You should be fine. Either way the tow hitch mounts are definitely the way to go.

Nope. They "cant" give you a ticket for a law which is applicable in the state your currently in if it isn't applicable in the state the car is registered in.

But its pretty vague and I think it kind of comes down to them being able to do whatever they want because you see plenty of people around getting tint tickets and whatnot in states they're not from.

Im not TOO worried because 75% of my parking is done in my development and at my University Parking lot anyways. Plus theres no F-ing way my school security has ANY powers to give me a ticket like that.. Just wanted to make sure. I still have my temp plates and theres no way im drilling into my front bumper
