IPOD interface
I was wondering if anyone used the regular apple interface cable to connect to their BMW. Am I correct to think that the only way I'll be able to toggle through the songs via my BMW consol is only if I have the 6FL Y-cable? I recently purchased and recieved my vehicle and it did not come with the Y-cable.
Thanks for all your help JC |

If your car is equipped with the 6FL option, it should have come with the cable. If it didn't, then ask your dealer for the cable.

Yeah, the dealer should have provided the cable. If you use a standard cable, it's my understanding that you will not be able to play songs purchased from the iTunes Store.
If the music sounds distorted or staticy, try adjusting the iPod level. Press Audio, select iPod and adjust the level. The 6FL is great!

Currently my list ends with USB. Once I connect my IPOD is it supposed to show up as IPOD where the USB was or is there supposed to be an IPOD listed by the USB?
Dealer will not provide the cable because when I purchased the package it was without the cable. I know it's funny. |
