almost low oil
the 2 days ago, my oil was at 3/4, today its at 1/4. the car has 3400 miles on it only. I know BMW's do burn alittle oil, and i have been driving the car really hard the past 2 days, but should i have burned that much oil. im waiting for the engine to cool off now so i can add the quart i have, i really hope its not a leak, if it lowers from night untill morning, im gonna bring it in. has any1 else had this problem with burning alot of oil, especially those who are race enthusiast, and have driven there car alittle hard?

So I've seen many people claiming that the car needs to be driven a couple
of miles for the indicator to reset and read correct again after adding oil but I have to say I am puzzled because my 330 has 12,500 miles and I have done 3 oil changes myself so far and every time i add my 7 quarts of new oil and ask the indicator to measure the level, it takes 15-20 secs and then reads correct level without having to drive any distance at all. But yes don't add more oil. If the indicator doesn't move, it's time to take it to the dealer I think. |

I hope you didn't pay for it, the dealer will give you a free quart while you wait. literally takes less than 5 minutes |
