Price difference between stock & M sport bumpers - insurance replacement

Hi all,

I'm curious about something. I have to replace my front bumper (+ an unknown number of parts inside) b/c of a sad accident involving a dumb driver with her headlights off... meh. Anyway, I thought this might be an opportunity to drop the stock bumper and upgrade to the M Sport one.

Would anybody have a ballpark idea what price I should be getting quoted by the dealer? The idea is that they'd replace the front bumper on insurance, and charge me whatever difference there is between the stock & the M one. So... what IS that difference?

Alternatively - any idea what a front M sport kit retails for?

Thanks!

Just happened to me less than 3 weeks ago. My insurance deductible is 500$ and the price for replacing bumper was qouted at 975$. So what they did was subtract my deductible of 500$ and split me a check for 475$ saying I can take that to whatever place I want, and if they claim it costs more than 975 they will handle the rest.

So with that in mind, I instead ordered an M-tech front bumper from Longtran aka LTBMW for much less than the cost of repair. So instead of being out the 500$ deductible in actuality cost me 375$ (LTBMW mtech front 750 painted +100shipping - 475(from insurance) = 375 out of pocket)

either way, GL.
LTBMW or Tischer is the way to go.

Holy crap - really? They actually picked up the deductible? *interesting*. I think I have to haggle, then. Maybe go to two dealers?

[edit] I'm sadly in Canada. Otherwise I'd definitely go to Tischer.
