That's a depressing story. Does it get better?

Aight, who decided this vid would be the new Rickroll?

It's a bastardized version of air hockey.

Wow, that definitely put a damper on my afternoon. If the guy could put his drive and ambition towards something that could succeed he would go to great heights.

Dang. Is the real guy still living? I found some other youtube video of him trying to sell his game.

If its true that someone is making a movie of this story, it sounds like more of a charity event than anything. The game has zero novelty, and definitely doesn't have 26 years worth of planning, thinking, and re-thinking put into it.

Someone in Hollywood heard this guy's story, felt sorry for him, and gave him a movie contract. That movie is about as high on my list of 'things I wouldn't be caught dead watching' as the octo-mom sitcom. So much rubbish coming out lately it is unreal.

It seems like Will Smith is interested in taking a lot more "dynamic" roles instead of his typical "action hero/cool black guy" roles.

Not sure how this movie will turn out, I'm actually kind of interested in it.

Here's the press release from Fang and ComingSoon.net

Will Smith to lead "Bulletball: An American Inventor"

Source:Fang
September 5, 2009

Will Smith recently revealed in Prestige magazine that he will start shooting Bulletball: An American Inventor in March 2010. To be directed by Amy Sayres, the movie will also co-star Catherine Kellner. Smith will be playing real life inventor Marc Griffin as he pursues his ultimate dream of making a successful game.

According to Smith, the film is "about the American dream. It's something that people have lost in these times. Marc Griffin is part of the 'show me' generation. The movie will pretty much follow [my character] as he tries to find a way to make his dream happen. A lot of people can relate to a movie like this, I think it will touch many people when it's released. And it's incredible what the human will can accomplish when motivated: a very, very fascinating journey."

The movie, written by Simon Burke and Smith, will film in New York and Boston.

hmm cool movie. i guess the movie starts 26 years ago when him and his wife are sittin there drinking wine where bulletball is invented. then goes through the process of quitting his job, losing his home, selling his wife ring etc... after that goes on the show...and ends up signing with people to make the game...

the movies predictable

Cool

I think based on Smith's acting ability, the movie should be interesting.
