good merc dealership in sydney?

hey guys,

I am thinking about visiting a merc dealership to discuss C63 and was wondering if there is one in particular that you sydneysiders would recommend as more likely to comeout with a decent deal instead of time wasted.

I will be heading down there for business so thought i might give it a go.

Anything in particular i should look out for if purchasing interstate?

Thanks very much and any input would be greatly appreciated

Im heading down the same road as you and there is only one dealer i strongly recommend and that is McIntosh of Mosman. My parents have been buying from them for years, i am also looking to go AMG some time soon and have been in discussions with them for a few weeks. They have a black one available with 4000kms that i test drove the other week, the best they did for me was 150k but im giving the market some time before i pull the trigger. The dealer has the best service and after sales service PERIOD! I would use the merc dealership in Orange as a means of making them discount on the vehicle, the guys at Orange tend to provide better prices and Mac of Mosman match immediately. Hope this helps

I will try both. I am surprised that 150k was the lowest they would go. were they convince you would buy? did it have any other options?

Negotiations up here hinted 145 but never went for it coz i was looking at 130s.

A friend got offered 125 in the depth of the depression earlier on but i dont expect that sorta numbers now.

These are new cars i am talking about as well.

WOW you're mate got offered 125k! I would put down a deposit asap if i was offered that by any dealership. The Dealership in Mosman make sales with ease and don't like heavy discounting but would match other dealers if they want to maintain a good customer. Call the guys at Orange and see what they can do for you, and at the same time see how much you can haggle off the demo in Mosman. To be honest i haven't had much time to go to dealerships for any form of proper negotiations due to work load, but like you i am aiming at 130k mark as well. I hope one of the dealers can pull through for you

Why don't you make them an offer of $250K for 2 cars ($125K for each buyer)?

lol you guys,

I wish that would be the case, i wish i had a time machine and go back.

I was not interested in the c63 back then so didnt even know what was a bargain and what was not. Never looked at Merc before till very recently. Big regrets there.... really big regrets. The catch was its a car on site, no tweaking config so cant choose ur fav colour. But new.

I hope 130s is doable.

E90 M3 looks too much like the normal E90 tbh, not aggressive enough like the C63 and the engine not doesnt sound the same. I know on track with corners m3 will shit all over the c63, has better economy and perhaps resale as well and prices are quite similar. In fact M3 may be easier to bargain.

Another friend bought a e92 M3 for $152 new with 19" and sunroof (i dont even know if thats a NCO or not) ~ 2-3 months ago. So the price seems more flexible than the AMG. Again it was a car thats already in stock but NEW.

I wonder if you guys know any other dealerships have in stock cars, i reckon thats probably the only way we can get the price in the 130s.

I also wonder whens the RS4 coming out and how much. But seems way way way off atm.....
