Driving with the jb+

Ok so today I pull up at a red light and im in the right most lane. With Etown coming around, and considering that its gonna be my first time at the drag I decided I need some practice launching and shifting. So, Im at the light, I turn off DSC, DTC, and torque brake to 2000. At the green, I launch and at about 6000 rpms, I shift into 2nd. Im still flooring it and at about 6000rpm, I shift into third. As I shift into third my car steers to the left into the middle lane. Luckily for me all the cars are still at the light lol. So im wondering Does everyone else have the same issue? Ive got the jb+ at 100%, and im running on street tires. Is the drag going to be considerably stickier ?

If the drag course has been run in nicely, it should be stickier. If you really want more grip, ditch the RFTs and get some PS2's (or drag radials...slicks...R compound...etc).

Also, lowering your air pressure a bit and doing a very mild burnout should help a bit. Either way, you can't screw up too badly with a JB+ and Steptronic.

IF you have an auto I don't see why you're shifting it yourself? You would probably be faster just leaving it in Sport, and then you can keep both hands on the wheel so it'll be easier to control. Keep in mind roads have potholes/cracks/etc. that couldve caused the pulling. Our cars also have an open diff which may be the cause of this(that's just a guess) hopefully some others with more experience will chime in.

No the auto is slow. I used to drive in DS mode until I finally started using the Manual. Our power drops after 6k rpms, so we gotta manually shift while still in the powerband.
