CD-Player scratches CD, anyone..?

Hey..

I just got my 2010 E92 a week ago, extremely happy with it!

But I´m a little worried it MAY be scratching my cd´s?

Seems like the cd´s I´ve played in it so far get the same "scratch" or "mark" or whatever after been played in the car?

Till now I´ve only heard that it actually skips on my Pink Floyd "echoes" cd, which is about as old as my week old car, but it only skips in the car and not on my surround or boombox at home?

Anyone had the same problem?

Should I bring it up to my dealer?? Don´t want my CD´s all scratched!!

What is a CD?

I haven't yet put a CD into my car (iPhone and FM work well for me)

Interesting. I would prove it to myself and bring said proof to the dealer.

Take a brand new CD-R and burn some music on it.
Play the brand new cdr and check for damage.

That way you are only out the 10 cents or so that cd-r's cost.

... and for the what's a cd croud - it could be worse. it could eat your cassette tapes too.

That's a good idea, I'll try with a brand new cd-r and see if it leaves the same scratch.. And about the cassette, haha I still play AND buy CD's

Once they replaced it were you able to play cd's again without them being scratched? Mine does the same thing. I put in a brand new cd and it came out with multiple scratches. And any cd I put in skips. I just took my car in to be serviced for engine overheating, but I'll mention this issue to them as well.
