LED interior bulb problems
ok, so i bought the "high powered" LED bulbs from mod bargains. i never really noticed until a few days ago that the lights shut off automatically when i manually turn them on when the engine is running. it'll turn back on once i shut the engine off. does anyone know what i can do to fix this?
thanks in advance. |

Return that kit. I had it, and between the errors from the map lights (common with most kits) and the poor output in the rear footwell area if you have a coupe (common with ALL kits that I have seen), it was really sub par.
Kev started this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=306054 In it, he lists the best of the best for interior lighting bulbs. For the map lights, there is really only one choice at this point, and shinchan (LED god) has posted about it in post 19. I currently have a FULL WORKING LED setup that is super bright due to that thread. The output of the map lights, while low, is great for when you don't want an overwhelmingly bright light, and with the Bavauto 24LED panels, my car is blinding when I want it to be. I also used the 5 led size 74 bulbs referenced to in the rear footwell area and they are unreal. So bright and white. I love my current setup. My setup is just like what Kev said to do, but with the maplights shinchan linked to. It is amazing.

I just left my map lights (and visor vanity lights) stock. I rarely ever use them anyways. The main ones you will see every day are the door, foot well, and domes.

That is one option, and getting the filament versions of the maplights is another. That is what the bimmian solution is. I wanted to go all out with this setup, so I went all out.

in order to bypass the this issue, you would need to get to custom resistors inside the wedge bulb itself, our led interior kits are error free or your money back
