AVIZ Z3 Install

I've been meaning to post this since earlier this year. Here are some images of the system in my 335I. We did remove all the stock radio hardware. The only issue I have is a notice that the SOS system is not available on start up, but it goes away. We still have to route the wheel controls using a SWI-PAC. Battery would take some effort to get to now, but I like the way the trunk turned out.

Looks great! Were the seat heater controls relocated?

I did lose the seat heater controls. In Georgia it isn't so much of a concern so i didn't fight to keep them in. IIRC there was an issue that made relocation difficult like fiber optic cables or a previously removed component.

I am about to purchase the Z110BT for my 328i coupe. What should I search for on ebay? Double din kit for BMW?

The only double din kits I found when I started were expensive for what they were. There is one out of Japan and the company was unwilling to sell just the face plate so with the radio relocation and everything (which I wasn't going to use) it was around $800. My install is all custom fabricated. The faceplate was custom cut and the head unit custom mounted. I didn't do the install myself so unfortunately I can't give a whole lot of pointers. If you or your installer can bend metal, drill screw holes, cut plastic, and make a paper template, it should be too hard. I suspect creative use of Velcro is also necessary.
