Do MSDs also reduce cap cost?

I'm trying to figure out whether putting down MSDs (multiple security deposits) on a lease is worth it for me. Do additional MSDs count towards a cap cost reduction or simply a reduction in money factor?

just MF, but you get it back at the end, and you dont pay tax on them
