Eisenmann Exhaust Question
Is it accurate that the Eisenmann exhaust is not legal in CA? I guess I am kind of confused and I have looked on their website and it really does not specifically say that it is CA approved or not. The only thing I found was "products are not EPA or CARB approved and are intended for off-road/track use only" So if they are not approved for road use and I know some of you in CA have this exhaust I am curious how you all get past smog.

From what I remember, changing out just the muffler will not make significant changes to your emissions levels. Now, if you were to add the SR pipes, maybe, but I think you're safe if you're just going with the muffler only.

We cannot claim in any way that using our product will not affect any smog inspection for legal reasons. However, a rule-of-thumb is that as long as you don’t modify the catalytic converters or any sensors in the exhaust system, the emissions levels will remain the same. Eisenmann exhaust systems do not affect the catalytic converters or any sensors.
