Just got the GIAC flash yesterday
Not here to bash the piggies but the GIAC flash is awesome. Got flashed yesterday at EAS in Santa Ana. Great guys. Even let me take a look at the supercharged M3 coupe they are working on. Anyway as someone who has run both the Procede V3 (non-canbus) and JB3 1.4 I can say that the flash combines what's great about each of the piggies into a single tune. I used to think that wasn't possible but GIAC has done it. It has the low end punch and torque of the JB3 and the original Procede and the smoothness of the new Procede and also of the stock engine. I don't have any dynos or hard numbers to back up my observations but the car definitely feels faster than either of the piggies. Supposedly I got a new version of the stage 1 flash that GIAC has been working on. In addition, based on your mods they can get more aggressive with the flash as well. I highly recommend the GIAC if anyone is thinking about switching or looking for a first time tune.

When you feel like dynoing, I suggest Church's automotive in Wilmington. He did a custom flash for me and it would be interesting to compare the two. I also had the JB3 and loved it, but this custom flash is better. Your impressions are simnilar to mine, I'd be curious to see the difference.... -Ryan |

Hmm. . . I keep hearing everyone ditching the piggybacks for this flash.
I never would have thought a flash could compete. |

Neither did I. Come down and drive the car. You'll see. Or go to EAS and take a look at their stage 2 135i. Maybe Tom will give you a ride.
