Latest V3 updates my tune to Stock map?
I have a PROcede V3 Rev1. So i decided to update my tune to the latest maps (10-9) Stage 1 6mt-6at. I went ahead and used the latest software that was provided. I updated the firmware that was provided on Shiv's update page. ( http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310075 )
After the firmware i went ahead and did the map update. everything went well, no interruptions or errors. I didnt mess with any of the user adjustments or anything. I put the car together and went off for a test drive. right off the bat i noticed my car is running stock. no extra boost what so ever. so i said crap maybe something went wrong with the update. so i went back un-did everything and did the entire update all over again. Put everything back together once again and went off on a drive. once again the car is running stock. ANYONE have any idea whats up with this? I updated my friends v3 rev1 last night and his car is running great with the new tune! so im kind of worried here because i dont understand whats going on. maybe some of you have had this issue and know a fix?

i will try to work on it tomorrow. i have to say im tired of taking the whole engine compartment apart and putting it back together again. i wish there was an easier way of accessing the tune. i will check that tomorrow and post some screenshots.

The USB cable throught the ecu box is very easy to do. I wish I had done it earlier than I did. You will enjoy updating maps and firmware much more. 6ft cable is a good size, like others have said.
Good luck. You don't have to shove the cable into the hole very far before you will be able to put your head down under the glove box and reach it. I struggled for a while trying to push more of the cable in the hole, when it was already within reach in the cabin. You just have to search for it, it's there. |
