Stock Airbox?

What has everyone done with theirs? Side projects, kept for a dealer visit? I need to buy one, but no one has them for sale, haha.

Its a very expensive OEM part... upwards of $300 last I checked.
I am not surprised people hold on to them.

The E46 unit is the same way...and sells for cheap (even when the car was new).

I want a spare, going to wrap the bottom half in gold reflective foil and do some temp testing.

It's my garage queen now, but I highly doubt a dealer would mention something about having an aftermarket intake (unless they are super anal).

I never had a problem with my dealer. I would be willing to part with my stock box, however I am currently in Iraq. If you still want it in 6 months, I would hook you up. I'd get my wife to send it, but you'd probably end up with my stock 350z intake instead. Crazy women!

The 335i box has "BMW" on the lid . If you want to sell let me know.

Sounds good, maybe some thermo-tec tape or something?
