2007 335i CPO E92 Pricing Help...need to make decision
Hi guys-
I am new to this forum and would like your advice on purchasing a 2007 CPO 335i coupe. Two cars at two dealerships: 2007 Black on Tan 335i Coupe (CPO) Miles: 13,000 Premium, Sport, Cold, 18' Wheels, USB, Logic 7 Original warranty till Aug 2011 Negotiated Price: $33,290 (the dealership not willing to negotiate any more) 2007 Silver on Black 335i Coupe (CPO) Miles: 41,000 (dealer said this was a demo so original warranty / service goes upto 55k miles or Dec 2010) Premium, Sport, Heated Seats, 18' Wheels, Logic 7 Negotiated Price: $29,000 Offered $1k more than the other dealership for my current BMW Are these both good deals? If so, which one is the better deal? Additional comments: I most likely will do ED this time next year on a 335i Coupe (after the refresh) so I'm only looking to own this car for one year. I feel like I would lose less money when I trade in the Silver one (purchase price vs trade in value) next year to order the brand new car. I would like to know what other people think about this. Thanks. Last edited by SL335I; 10-24-2009 at 07:57 PM.. |

Option A. You're getting a brand new car more or less... with 87,000 miles of warranty! If you drive more than 12k a year, this is undoubtedly a better deal! The car will certainly drive tighter than the one with 41k. Black on tan is much sexier than silver, IMO.. but you may feel differently. Paying $4000 more for a car with 13k vs one with 41k seems like a no brainer. I faced the same decision less than 6 months ago and couldnt be happier driving a car that still has less than 20,000 miles after 6 months of ownership

Thanks for your response RX7guy.
I felt the same way after driving both cars. However, the 5k difference (1k from trade in) made me swing towards the Silver one. I most likely will do ED this time next year on a 335i Coupe (after the refresh) so I'm only looking to own this car for one year. I felt like I would lose less money when I trade in the Silver one (purchase price vs trade in value) next year to order the brand new car. Thoughts? |

The Black one was originally listed for $34,900 and was reduced by the dealer to $33,900. The dealer is willing to sell it to me for $33,300. They offered $15,200 originally for my trade-in and I negotiated it up to $16,500.
The Silver had just come in to the dealership. The CA asked for $30,900 and I offered $29,000 and asked for $17,500 for my trade-in. He called me back an hour later and accepted. |
