Bluetooth through the iPod adapter?
Hi all,
I have a very basic E90. I love it but do wish I had bluetooth. My dealer has told me that a factory retrofit would be very costly. I do, however, have the iPod adapter and I had a thought the other day about something it could possibly be used for - Does there exist a product that would give you bluetooth using the iPod adapter? Think about it...doesn't it seem possible? The device could utilize the aux input to put the person on the receiving end on the car's stereo. The USB device could somehow interface with your bluetooth phone, have a microphone, and do the job? Thoughts? If this is possible, I'm sure it would sell like hotcakes.

I think you mean "handsfree" rather than "bluetooth".
Why not get a Kenwood KOS-A300, put the controller in the ashtray, and get the HD and BT options, and plug it into the center console jack? |

I did the bluetooth retrofit. Trust me when I tell you that while expensive, its worth every penny. I sent you a PM about it.
