Bass & Audio Separation Issue. Subwoofer Disconnected?
Ever since my car went in for a replacement of the passenger seat airbag and radio unit replacement, I feel that I'm not getting the bass and spacial separation I had before. Although occasionally, I swear that the music will "open up" for lack of a better term for brief periods of time when at higher volumes.
Could it be possible that something was disconnected from underneath the passenger seat that needs to be reconnected? I'm not quite sure what and where under the seat to look for. Could it be something with the reprogramming of the radio unit? My old unit was replaced with one from a newer model as it now has the chrome dials vs. my old one. ![]()

I may resort to visiting the dealer, but time is a bit limited recently. I was hoping there was something I can visually inspect underneath the seat. Do both subwoofers have an exposed connector under the seats?

No.
In the trunk, driver's rear corner, under the plastic removable panel. No, in fact, accessing the subs is an act of effing Congress. 4 Seat bolts and like 8 #1 Phillips screws holding the grille panel down, which want to strip out to get at the top of the woofer and the connector. And don't unplug the seat unless you want an SRS code thrown. |

Thank you for the help! So it definitely looks like there's nothing I could possibly do. It also doesn't look like it's possible that they would've accidentally disconnected the speakers while replacing the passenger seat sensor. Could it have been an issue with the reprogramming when they replaced my radio unit? Some type of incompatibility from my old 2006 unit to the newer, slightly redesigned one that they replaced it with?
