Amuse bumper..TERRIBLE fitment

My body shop has spent the last week trying to get this bumper to fit..Its almost like the bumper was not made for an e90..as you can see underneath, there is a 6 inch gap between the bumper and underhood shield, requiring a custom made piece of plastic to bolt the bumper into. It also does not have ANYWHERE to screw in the fender liners..they are basically hanging there, rubbing against the tires. I am so disappointed, I spent alot of money to get this bumper fitted and painted and my car looks like a riced out civic.

Construct auto will not help..at all. They offered me $100 back which I took to offset part of the extra money I had to pay for the custom work..but they will not take the bumper back, and the owner absolutely refuses to acknowledge there is a problem. Bottom line STAY AWAY from construct's products. I also found out in doing some research that this bumper is made by Europassion, as all of Construct's products are.

I'd take it up with the company/vendor that sold you the product. Regardless, sucks to have this stuff happen.

+1

We've had very good results with fitment on the authentic pieces. If using the counterfeits, you're pretty much on your own.

I called constructauto..they told me I am missing a part of the undertray..but from what I remember, the bumper bolts right up to that tray..I know the mtech bumpers require an adapter to fit, but stock/aftermarket shouldnt require it.the rieger bumper I had before fit just like stock..now Im stuck with a big gap between bumper and the shield..

construcauto should be addressing this problem... because i am about to purchase an amuse trunk from them... if they cant support the products that they are selling, then i dont think i'll be buying anything from them.

Sorry to hear this man. . . But what do you expect when working with small time counterfeit vendors that only car about the initial quick buck?
I would suggest going with everything OEM but if you have to go with a knock off. . . at least make sure you're getting it from a legit and trustworthy vendor.

Don't they have some sort of fitment guarantee?

You should definitely fight with them to fix the problem or issue you a refund. These aren't Civics we're putting body kits on... and the kits aren't necessarily cheap either.

Hopefully you paid with an American Express card =). Amex will back you up on whatever you say and they will strip money back from seller if it does not fit correctly since they sold you the piece assuming it would fit. If you paid with a VISA you can try but Amex is so much better, good luck.

Don't bother. Seriously.
It's a pointless viscous circle and you'll only end up more upset.

If you paid with AMEX directly, one phone call and you'd get your $ back instantly and probably even get to keep the bumper for a souvenir.
Only use PayPal when absolutely necessary.
