Tips for Rebadging?

So I know everyone here de-badges, but I just bought some nice Black 335i badges I want to put on, but since i debadged I have ZERO reference and I want to make sure I get the spacing spot on, any tips? or is it all guess and check?

Thanks!

I de-badged my car and if i look very closely i can see very faint outlines of where the numbers once were. Have u tried looking to see if u can see an outline?

Yeah usually the old badges leave a outline to guide you.

I will try looking with some super bright lights...perhaps there would be some feint outline remaining.

Outline the factory badge with painters tape as a guide.

The problem is my car has been debadged for a year I may have to eye ball it...UGH. Perhaps I will find a 335 use some paper with a charcoal pencil and create a template of sorts.

Check with the dealer in this case, they typically have a guide that you can use to mock up to the bootlid. Bodyshops have to do this when they repair the boot.
