question for Gary@Tirerack RE: TPMS

Hi Gary, I'm looking to order a set of wheels/tires and need to get the TPMS sensors as well. According to the inventory status, Indiana has a 12/19 ship date. However, all the other shipping centers have a status "Special Order'. What does that mean? Does that mean that if I choose a shipping center with status "Special Order", it might come sooner as the TPMS will be order on an order basis? Many thanks!

Unfortunately 'special order' means a bit longer than the standard ETA. In this case, we'll first be getting the sensors into stock into our South Bend, IN warehouse in a large shipment, then transferring them to the other warehouses that list 'special order'. Figure roughly one week longer in this case for a warehouse listed as 'special order'.

So, Gary, is 18-19 December when you think the sensors will be arriving at South Bend?

That is the current estimated date unfortunately, yes.
