michelin PS2 runflats vs PS2 non-runflats

need to get the bridgestones off my e92. right front and rear have sidewall bubbles. anyone know why the michelin PS2 non-runflats cost as much as the runflats? doesn't make sense to me. are there any other good non-runflat tires i should be looking at? going to replace all 4. my 335i has the OEM 18's. TIA.

I have PS2 RFT's on my car and they're much better than the OEM Bridgestones, but technology has progressed since 2006 so that's to be expected.

i have no idea on the cost factor

the ps2 is a fantastic tire! i would also look at the pirelli pzeros and dunlop star specs! they are all excellent tires and anything is better than the stock IMO

Me to. Awsome tire. I have driven both the PS2 ZP and the standard PS2 and really can't tell a difference. The Non ZP PS2 is about 30 bucks less a tire.

U may also wanna take a look at the Hankook V12 Evo. They placed second right behind the PS2 in Car and Driver's Aug 09 tire testing. Tire Rack is running a special on them right now.

And non runflats are lighter and softer over bumps, potholes... I love mine too and I understand why ///M cars don't have runflats.

Running the PS2 ZP RFTs. They're great. I have an extra set of fronts for sale too if you're interested (link in signature).

Just went from OEM Bridgestone RFT's on 18's on my 335i to a set of 19" VMR's with the Hankook V12 EVO's. Huge difference in going to non RFT tires. Smoother ride and much quieter in the cabin, even with the larger wheel. Great looking tire and highly rated. Very glad I made the change the change from RFT's.
