just got pulled over...for not having front plate and also having Front windows tinted. For the front plate, I can either get one of those tow hook front plate hold or Motorized one...but front window...I paid $400 for this chit!!!!! what if I refuse to take tints off and just pat the fine? How much would it be?? anyone has done it?

why did you pay 400 for tints? tints shouldn't cost more than 150. I thinks its mandatory for you to fix the violations.

you can always double side tape plate to bumper then remove after sign off.

as for tints, it's a PITA...best if you can find some one to sign it off for you. The cost of removing tint is horrible.

double sided tape isn't a good idea...some officers actually look very closely to see if it's done correctly.

yup, huper is ceramic tint which is why its so expensive

i agree. wen i went in for my front plate inspection by chp, he pulled down on it a bit to make sure it was secure and not just double sided.

lol, doubled sided tape would be a complete fail.. I just had a window tint ticket. That is something your going to have to fix.. Even after my sign off, I still had to pay a $200 fine..

Just pay the fine for the tint. It totally isn't worth it to get it removed and reinstalled especailly since you have huper optik. I have received two tickets for tint and have never taken it off. The first fine was $90 and the second time I paid $164. It'll probably keep increasing until you take it off but I'm not willing to take it off until the fines get ridiculous.

Holy crap thats a lot. Damn all the taxes. I remember when it was only $10 if it was signed off or $50 just to pay the fine.

true, but all they can do is say you have to have it mounted on a bracket, it's not like they can give you another violation. or just get a tow hook bracket just for kicks...it looks good anyways.

maybe it's different in socal? Up here, we all get our violations signed off with this method.

seems like everybodys getting pulled over for tint. you know what that means! go to work at 5am when its dark, and leave work at 7pm, when its dark.

It's my thinking that since California is in desperate need of revenue right now, the cops are getting nit picky. They can and are making soo much money in fines for tint since there are A LOT of cars out here with it. Before i didn't care, but now I roll my windows down when my spidey sense tells me there may be a cop lurking.

I got a no front plate parking ticket with a $25 fine. Do I have to get that signed off? Because I just paid the ticket and never even thought about having it signed off.

CA is giving speeding tickets for 10 over now. My buddy in SD just got a ticket for 75 in a 65. They are desperate!
