Brake Dust Cleaning

I see many spray products out there. Anyone have any experience with a safe/good product on the wheels?

My favorite is Chemical Guys gel wheel cleaner.

How about OTC products such as meguiars? Are there any good ones out there?

I tried the meguiars all wheel cleaner and was not impressed.

Eh. I've never been impressed with the OTC wheel cleaners. IF you want to buy something OTC which will help a lot, Simple Green will start to cut the brake dust when diluted properly. It's still not as good as quality specialized products though.

Try the Duragloss one.

I would stay away from OTC. the stuff you can buy online like p21s and CG diablo Gell are Ph balanced and wont eat through any wheel finish. I would also buy some PB wheel Sealant so cleaning wheels becomes a breeze and you only have to use soap and water

I changed my brake pads; replaced OEM with akebono pads in the front and rear. Now, no more brake dust....

+1. Get to the source of the problem. Think of the money you'll save on wheel cleaners.
