Got on a ship today!
800# confirms I am now "en route" Looking at the WW schedule, I assume I am on the Courage as that is the ship that left Bremerhaven today (Need to wait until CA is back to work on the 23rd to confirm for sure).
Should be in Brunswick, GA on the 12th (which is sadly 5 days later than it's originally scheduled arrival) Ordered: Nov 2nd Finished Production: Nov 12th On the boat: Nov 20th

My ship (still waiting for CA to confirm for sure this is indeed my ship) got into Zeebrugge this AM and should be in Southhampton tomorrow.
Must be a big traffic jam on the ocean that your ship has to sit and wait for fuzion, or they are waiting for a few of the crew to get out of jail from causing trouble in Southhampton? Or, maybe they are waiting to get a bunch of ships together so they can convey across the big pond together - like they used to do to protect against u-boats back in WW1/2 Having the ship just sitting around (not at a port) has got to be the worst delay possible! I hope mine does not have to do the same thing. So now I am just waiting to see if I can get a PCD date before X-Mas, otherwise I'll just pick it up at the dealer. Either way, need to get it before the end of the year to get the tax writeoff Once you find out what ship you are on 1LUMI, let us know!

LoL... My ship is finally moving late yesterday night. It appears heading to another port for pit stop I guess, but on the marinetraffic site it say its next destination is cristobal, panama.

Mine's at the Preparation center in Oxnard California since Nov 6th. Just cleared customs on the 21st and is current still at the preparation center. I'm hoping to get it before Thanksgiving... Ridiculous that it sat in customs for 2 weeks.

That's what I am afraid of too. My vessel should arrive to port Huneme which should arrive at Oxnard on December 12. I hope there won't be any delays. I want the Holiday credit and it will expire on Jan. 4, 2010. =[

Got an update from my CA this AM, apparently I am not on the Courage, but am on the Caribbean Highway, Voyage No. 82A, which departed Bremerhaven 11/19/2009 and is estimated to arrive in Brunswick, GA 12/4/2009. So the car should arrive a week earlier than expected! Good news for sure Now if I could just find the ship on the maritime tracking site...
But, it may not matter in the end, as it looks like I should be able to get a PCD date the 3rd week of December (PCD = worth waiting a week for the car), but worst case I will get the car a week earlier than I originally thought!

you cant track the Caribbean Hwy on any site--as far as I know. That is a KLine ship, and is impossible to track IMO.
Congrats on the car. I'm in the Atlanta area as well, ordered my car 10/2, out of production 10/12, on a ship 10/14 and took delivery 11/6. Also came in through Brunswick. |

Back on dry land now! The Caribbean Highway docked at Charleston, SC at 1am on Thursday, Dec 3rd! She finished offloading and embarking cars and left port again at 5:50pm the same day. Now it's off to the VPC to get cleaned up!
I had thought the ship was going to Brunswick, GA, but this is an "express" ship apparently which goes from Bremerhaven straight to Charleston. Also, I could not get a PCD date in the end, so will take delivery at the dealership. Should have the car at home in a week or two now!

Ok, update time - ship arrived and disembarked all the cars on Dec 3rd. Then my car sat at the port until the 7th (must have been out having a good time in Charleston or something with some of the other cars that just arrived), when it went up the road to the factory/VPC at Greer, SC. Looks like they did their thing on the 8th, and now it is just awaiting transportation to the dealership. Was hoping it would be here tomorrow, but looks like it will be next week sometime...
