Tuning option test
So here is the deal, I have been able to score 4 tuning options that are available on the market right now. These are the following that I have:
Jb3 Pinout with 1.4 PROcede V3 (not sure which version or whatever, but will send it to Vishnu to get it checked out) Dinan Stage 2 ESS tuning (not sure what stage I will be going) So basically this is what I will be doing, I will drive around with these tuning options for a week and compare it to stock and another tuning method that I had before. I will also run some pulls on a dyno to show what the power is. My car only has DCI and nothing else, this will be fair to show what these tuning options can do. So first I will do a test with Dinan and Stock. I will keep this posted as fast as possible. Check tomorrow when I write up my post |

![]() First test: Dinan Stage 2 Price: Way too much for little gain Horsepower upgrade by Dinan: Quote:
PROS: This was the first mod that was on my car when I purchased it. It felt good when the car hit boost, and the rpms shot up really quickly. When in boost the car has traction problems. I was able to pull on many different cars. Only great quality about Dinan is that it is still covered under BMW warranty(but there is a negative to this as well) and if there is any problems Dinan has some great customer service CONS: The negative about Dinan that I feel compared to stock is that it drives alittle more rough (shifting in gears was very sensitive.) The thing that bothered me is that when your warranty is up through BMW they will not let you get a power train warranty, and not all dealership will touch your car. I am not hundred percent sure but I was told by several different people. Compared to stock: Shifting feels a lot different and rougher, but the stock is sooo slow without the Dinan haha NEXT UP IS JB3 once I get my harness repaired by Terry |

You're in Chicago. Go to AMS and get a cp-e standback and add it to the test series. They'd probably help you with the testing/dynos/etc.
