Exhaust Removal
So I was up at Famoso Raceway yesterday and witnessed some awesome N54 times.. It's always fun to watch cars do their crazy burnouts and launch with a mean sounding exhaust. So yesterday there was a 335 coupe that had it's exhausted unbolted and completely removed right after the downpipes.. it was so sick sounding, very loud and mean, and sounded exactly like it belonged at the drag strip.. it was also not too loud when idling and rolling 5-10 mph, although my judgment may have been impaired after watching 6 hours of drag racing, lol... just wanted to say it was the best sounding N54 that I've heard. Anyone else tried this?

running open downpipes is a popular option on drag cars. though ive never heard this on a n54 it makes sense to do that. best way to get rid of any back pressure...
