Will you trade in your e90 for the new 5 series?

Saw the official pictures were just released on the new 5 series.

Looks very similar to the e90 (in a good way I think).

My lease on my 2007 e90 comes due in 6 months... this new style has me thinking about moving up a weight class (535ix maybe).

Thoughts?

All depends on what it drives like, the current 5 is not as good to drive as the 3.....

I would buy the 550 as a family car in 3 years, but without DCT, bmw can go fly a kite and take their 8 speed automatic with them.

I might consider it once my lease is up, but that won't be for another 3 years or so.

A year or two down the road people will be asking, "will you be trading your new 5 series for the new 3 series".

Funny... but maybe true... the new 3 will likely be a bit bigger than it is now.

Don't know this is my first BMW and we bought it. Maybe next year or two I will replace the RDX with the 5 series. I kinda love the 3 but I'm a sucker for a new car.

Nope, I'm going to stick with the 3er for the time being. I think I need a few more years under my belt before I consider the 5 as my DD. I test drove the old 5er when I bought my 3, and it was a boat compared to the 3. I'm sure the driving dynamics have improved with the new model, but with the 5er's mass and size, even German engineers have to respect the laws of physics!

NO! The new 5 is nice, but kind of bland. It's more a family sedan and less of sports sedan.
