I recommend starting with the BMS Powerbox. You can then upgrade the exhaust and intake, we have a few options that would work for your car.

are you looking to start off with performance or cosmetic? if performance, then the BMS powerbox is the way to go, then follow that with an intake and exhaust. for cosmetic.. there are a million things you can do to these cars: wheels, suspension, tint, lips/spoilers, etc..

It greatly improves the throttle response which I am sure you have noticed it lacks. IMO must have mod for any n52. Unless you wanna go the cosmetic route first =D.

So it will more responsive when I accelerate?. but does it increase acceleration power? if I go the cosmetic route, what should I do first? I don't have a lot of money because I have to pay insurance and I'm only 16. My friend just got a 2010 camaro, and he said he's gonna powder coat the rims black. I was also thinking of doing this and smoking out the tail lights. What would you do first with a stock BMW?

looks like u got an e90. I would get the blackline tail lights instead of smoking them, looks way better imo. Also you can get matte black grills for a more aggressive look.

The PBX increases both. Adds about 8-10 hp/tq to the wheels and improves throttle response. You have the option of running the tune without the throttle remap and vice versa as well by selecting the different maps.

Cosmetic wise, I would upgrade the halos, turn signals and tail lights. We offer xenon white upgrades to provide a more pure xenon white output and clear or smoked LED tail lights for the rear end.

With those taillights you lose the 3 LED lights across, right?

Do you have any ideas on how much the PBX alone takes off the 0-60 or 1/4 mile times, if any? Is there any kind of synergistic effect when you combine that with an aftermarket intake and exhaust?

Is there any kind of plug-n-play version in the works so one could easily remove the box in the event the car had to be towed into the dealer? Is that even possible? I've only got 4K on the car so I have a lot of warranty to lose if I were caught with this system installed.

Can I change the color of the halo's if my lights aren't xenon? Check out this vid..

probably the nicest headlights ive ever seen
can I change and install the grille myself or is it difficult? and how about the PBX?

The grille can be done yourself. I personally don't think powdercoated stock wheels look good.

I think I'm gonna do performance first. I've been looking at BMS powerbox - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_794wt_1167

and Injen intake - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_2500wt_932

which is better, in your opinion

which is better? why not get both? if that's not an option, then get the BMS powerbox first, and order it through a vendor on our forum, not ebay.

the BMS powerbox increases throttle response, and offers the most gains for the money.

the intake... makes your car louder, and the gains are minimal compared to the powerbox
