First 2010 HPFP Failure?

Will I be the first? 900 miles on my 2010 E92 335i. Seemed like it took an extra second to start up.

Have we documented a 2010 HPFP failure yet?

I guarnatee if my HPFP fails in the next few months, I'll wish I would have gotten the Z06...

The HPFP problem is lame and all, but if it fails.. oh well. It's a day job at the dealer and they will give you a brand new loaner anyway.

Nothing has changed really between 2007 and 2010. Good luck with your 2010.

There are cases of 2010 HPFP failures @ 1addicts. Like undecided said - nothing changed since 2007 and BMW is being extremely hush hush with the issue

At this point, it is what it is. Anyone on any BMW-type forum knows that this problem exists. If you bought the car thinking it won't happen to you....you're fooling yourself IMO. Granted, there are fanatics here who claim 40K+ miles with no HPFP failure. That's awesome really. But, that's probably more of the exception than the rule, unfortunately.

Take it in now.

Mine showed no signs of failure, no long cranks and just decided to completely fail yesterday on my way to thanksgiving dinner with the family.

Damn, that sucks.

I am an extremely detailed person and notice the smallest changes when they occur. I am 100% certain it started differently than usual. However, I feel taking it in will just be asking for the dealer to say, "It's fine. We can't replicate the problem." It is running and starting fine now and I really have no complaints.

I almost hope it fails so I can start bitching to BMW. Maybe they'll buy me an M3 when I refuse another N54. (haha, yeah right).
