The suffix "-less" is often added to nouns to connote a lack thereof... soooo downpipes without catylitic converters are referred to as "catless" and downpipes with catylitic converters are referred to as "catted".
There are high flow catted downpipes, but for best flow and consequently, power, a catless pipe is optimal (most notably because it has no obstructions) Ceramic coating is for heat management, some people will argue that it protects the pipe itself from corrosive environments. Polished finishes serve purely aesthetic functions. The whole idea of power from downpipes comes from the idea that the exhaust (hot) side of the turbo can expel exhaust gas more efficiently because there is no obstruction immediately following the turbine. |

If there is only a 5hp difference, the Catted version should an excellent option! http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...9&postcount=34 |
