If you have the non-Sport wheel (as in the standard SE wheel) then you'll need a completely different airbag if you want to swap to a Sport or an MSport wheel.

The DIY is basically the same, just you need to change the airbag over. There may be some coding required for the new 'bag, but I'm not 100% sure.

i know i will need a different airbag but reading conflicting views about the multi functional buttons some say u cannot use those from the standard wheel but others say u can??

plus u need an airbag bracket...any idea how much that is and a part no.?

what else would i need for the upgrade??

I changed from SE steering wheel to M sport Steering. The air bag does not need recoding. However the buttons, didnt work. Still trying to figure out why they dont.

I also made the change and everything worked fine. The buttons all worked as per the se wheel.

Hi the buttons on the se dont fit the sports as there are different size. Did you ordered new buttons, & if so how did you know which ones were the correct buttons for the car...
