BMW Performance Exhaust (how far do the tips stick out?)

Hi All,

I am just wondering how far (approximate inches) should the tips stick out beyond the rear bumper.

Please post if you have it.

Thanks.

I'd say mine looks pretty much like the photo posted above. But it's hard to be positive from the angle the picture is taken. If anything, my exhaust tips may be slightly more recessed.

How far are yours sticking out? I thought the muffler attached to a mounting point on the car so the tips would all be fairly close to the length exposed?

Thanks guys for the feedbacks.

Mine sticks out about 1 inch from the end of the rear bumper.

I brought it back to the shop and we saw that there is not enough clearance to cut another inch off the exhaust to move it up. Otherwise, the exhaust may bang on to certain parts underneath the car.

The exhaust is installed correctly and are connected exactly at all connection points.

I think I ll just live with it.

Thanks all.

What kind of bumper did you install that helped with the sticking out issue?

Thanks.
