You got 41k out of them

On my last car they were largely shot by 25k and I could not stand them any more. Curent ones have done 13k and I'm doing my best to wear them out

i got 60k out of my stock runflats...i drive like a grandma haha

i changed to goodyear f1 asymm last week, and what a change...no more harsh bumps and rattles, a lot of the bang is absorbed by the softer normal road tyres. Paid $2k all up, inflated with nitrogen as well, but im sitting at 40psi roughly each tyre, 18's staggered.

Sounds like a pretty good deal for 18" staggered. Who'd you get them through?

What profile tyres did you get? I didn't think the F1's came in a 255/35 R18?

The Asymetric tire will be a great tire. it has won the wheels/motor 2009 tire test. You will find wet traction is where the tire really performs.

Can't go wrong with that tire.

I presume your intending on doing this to get rid of your Run Flat Tyres? If yes.. then yes no problems at all.. as long as you get the same size & profile tyre, no issues at all.

Only thing that should be mentioned is check with your insurance company.. as the BMW's come with RFT as standard, some of them will NOT insure you if you have non RFT's fitted

Where abouts in Perth are you?

Non-RFT on BMW rims are no problem. I have them on my car with 17" Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric. As posted above, you should check with your insurance company.

changed to Khumo ku36s on my 19inch 199 style rims. 225/35/19 front, 255/30/19 on the back. Amazingly I got all four tyres for $820 (about the price of one RFT). Also fitted the recovery space saver kit in the boot ($700 from brisbane bmw)

I picked them up at option1garage in hamilton (brisbane) for those who are interested.

I love the quiet ride and improved handling - might have something to do with the Ebaich pro springs and Koni FSDs I had fitted at the same time ;-)
