STEET charge pipe arrived, but got a wrong one, found a solution.
Pay To: sales@stettperformance.com
Product Name: STETT Performance DV Charge Pipe (NO DV's) + $12 adapters on here its says ordered Charge pipe with No DV's just a adapter for DV eventhough while i was talking with them i said i already got forge DV to make sure to make pipe for it but it seems those DV adapters for stock DV but the pipe holes were small for the Forge DV's. it took a month to recieve my pipe so returnin it back from Turkey would cost me over 200$ and to get a new one i gotta wait another 1-2 month, and today i went to my shop we cut the hole and removed to little bit back. got the pictures with my iphone sorry for kinda low quality will explain everything. right now i m able to hear woosh sound little bit stronger and car pulls smoother. here are our PM's as considering that what exactly part do i need to replace and i alrady have FD valves on my car. but those rings pissing me so bad everytime. warmest regards, Yes, those factory chargepipes are very weak. To solve this issue, you can go with our DV charge pipe (less the DV's) for the group buy price of $245 + $12 adapter ends. For $257 your problem will be solved and you will have the best chargepipe on the market, it will never blow off thanks to our patented design. All that we need is a paypal address to send you an invoice and you will be added to the group buy! Thank You STETT Performance and this what i recieve bah, does it look alright the one we done?

yea but i m not located at US, and as i said i have been mailing with them the details, so it will take forever and cost me more $ to replace it , so i came with my own solution, and still works perfect.

OP: What exactly did you do to make it work? Cut the pipe between the adapters and add a section of pipe? Did you cut one of the adapters off and reweld further away (and somehow sealed the old hole?
Glad you at least got it to work! |

yea, cut one of the adapters and put it little further away, they did a good job sealing there and painted again all process took an hour. and we rasped new hole to make sure eveything was smooth, theres no lick at all.

Ferre86,
Haven't you been trading emails with us over the last couple of days stating that "i changed my idea and really would like to hear that Bov sound and wanna get one of those"? We have not had a message regarding fitment issues or else we could have helped walk you through the install. Next time before jumping to conclusions or throwing us under the bus with a negative post <again>, please make an attempt to contact us at least once with your issue so we can help provide the best solution. We would like for you to be happy with your purchase so by all means give us a chance to make that happen. Now, onto the charge pipe. We didn't build the pipe to work with the Forge OEM replacements, the adapters do just as the name implies, 'adapt' them to be used on something else. Our pipe has been in production since 2007 (we saw the flawed design of the factory charge pipe from the get go), long before Forge came out with the OEM replacement valves. Our pipes were designed to be used with standard 007 Forge valves which utilize 1" hose and clamp style connections. Forge then later released their OEM replacement valves and eventually people began using them with our pipes. There was later a request for replacement ends that are designed to be used with a hose and clamp. The $12 replacement ends (silver aluminum pieces pushed down into the hoses in your first picture) are designed to replace the OEM style connections on your OEM replacement valves. The OEM connection is designed for the factory twist lock connections on the factory plastic pipe, not to be used with a hose and clamp connection. To swap them you simply unscrew the connectors on your OEM Forge replacements and then screw in the ends you purchased from us (notice the threads on the pieces). So, the setup you received IS for use with your Forge OEM replacement valves. Because the OEM replacements flow in reverse compared to the standard Forge DV and the 007's that we use, they lay on their side meaning the tops of the valves are facing each other. This makes it a much tighter fit than the ample clearance we have with the 007's. See picture: http://www.shop.stettperformance.com...pipe%20007.jpg We have sold a ton of these to folks with Forge OEM valves and each one of those folks have installed them without problem. Try rotating the valves to a different position and you should be fine. |

Ok gotcha. Don't turn them upside down, just twist them slightly so the ends aren't butting up against each other.
I'll get a pic to post.... Quote:
