No love for the OEM Aerokit rear spoiler?

To my eye, the glaring weakness of the 335i coupe is the rear. Front and side views are fine stock, but the rear has the character (or lack thereof) of a Camry.

Eventually, I'm thinking of going with quad tips. But for now, I'm looking for a rear spoiler to give the back end a slightly more aggressive look.

The M3 trunk spoiler is nice, but maybe too understated for my taste. So I'm interested in the Aerokit rear spoiler, but it seems very few peeps have it.

Any fans of the Aerokit spoiler? If so, pls post up some pix!

There are a few of us ........... the M3 spoiler is truly overrated imho.

From this angle the OEM spoiler looks perfect .....

A few more ...

Thx, great pix. And a very clean ride!

Agree, the OEM looks good to me!

Visually, the M3 barely registers.

Saw a aero spoiler on a E93 just this week and it looked pretty good.

The problem with the M3 lip spoiler is that everyone and their mother has this mod. The aero is a nice way to stand out from the crowd without breaking the bank.

I had forgotten you have it as well! Thorshammer has it on his BSM & I think there's a Montego & AW somewhere on here sportin' the OEM as well.

ive got the aero like you say everyone seems to have the m3 one but the aero was designed for the e92, i think it suits the car perfectly without being overdone.

the aero rear spoiler is nice, i still prefer the M3 lip spoiler though. I love the rear of our cars i think they look pretty sweet. Mtech rear quad diffuser with quad tips and aero or m3 spoiler really sets it off!

don't like spoilers that leave gaps between it and the car

Agree that quad tips can make a big improvement. I'm sorting thru the options as to which combination of bumper & quad diffuser make the most sense (good looking, close-to-stock appearance, affordable).

Just a quick update on this...

I just went ahead and had the Aero spoiler installed. Got it from Evan at Tischer, painted and ready to go. Long Tran did the install. Looks great!

I'll get a pic up if it ever stops raining...

Thx to ToadHollow for the inspiration.

Next up: new bumper/diffuser (maybe the LCI Mtech)!

Sorry, I'm a crappy photographer -- it looks better in person!

Lookin' good man! Is it the angle or does the neew spoiler sit a bit higher than the older one? I know I can barely fit a MF towel between the deck and the spoiler on mine. Yours looks to be a little more space between?

OEM FTW

Hmmm, not sure about that.

I'll measure the distance between the deck and the spoiler tomorrow and post it up. I was assuming the piece was identical to yours, but maybe the spec changed...? Or it could just be my funky foto skills.
