Buying Parts in Europe
I think this is the right forum....
I'll be in Munich sometime next year and was wondering if there is any advantage to buying some parts while there? For example the euro fog light switch that is not sold here anymore, specifically the LCI one with silver trim. Anyone have experience buying parts while in Germany? Does exchange rate kill it? |

I bought couple of BMW performance stuff on my last trip in Germany. They even gave me a 10% discount.
The prices that I am comparing it with is based on what BMW China is offering me as I am residing here due to my job assignment. I guess not only you have to weigh the exchange rate difference, you also would want to check whether there are taxes / customs tariffs which would incurred should you have purchase directly from your home country to see whether it's worth the while. Hence for me here in China, its definitely worth buying from the US or Germany. |
