regarding scheerspeeds thread about his tires

hey man im in the same exact boat as you. I purchased my car in february and my car has 8500 miles on it and ive had to change my back tires last week. They costed me 350 shipped from tirerack which is ridiculous for 2 tires that drive like crap. My front tires are perfectly fine, but my rears wore out very fast and i dont drive crazy at all mostly highway miles.

Let me guess, you're "in school" too?? Coincidence? Methinks not!

Probably same reason his tires wore out to fast.

Are you running on the same Bridgestone A/S EL42s?? I see no way the tires could've run down to the bars unless you were tracking/drifting the car on high-grip surface. The compound on the POS Bridgestones are hard as a rock that's why they slip easily on wet surfaces. I'm at 9,500 miles and the tires look pretty new. Conversely, the front is showing some wear...

NikeMykee: Hmmm that is weird. As mentioned, my tires look just about new at 9,500 miles and I don't pussyfoot my car either. I was thinking the way the tires are going, its gonna last me years.

im hoping this is the last time i will have to change my tires before i trade in next february cause those suckers are very expensive, and is it normal for my car to slide into grooves on the freeway since i just replaced my tires. this has been happening ever since i replaced the rears, im guessing maybe since there new they need to be broken in a bit
