Exhaust trim for e90 320d
I know i will need to get my exhaust chopped and this replaced but do you think this would fit / work well?
http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/bmw...ust_trims.html (Twin chrome round exhaust trim). Anyone done this mod before? I have searched a few posts and noone seems to specifically say they have had this one fitted. Don't want it to look chavtastic that's all! |

Awesome thats what I wanted to hear!
Do you happen to have any pics? :-) How much were you charged to have it fitted? Presuming you had it done elsewhere or did Mstyle do it? Have you also debadged your car or does it still read 320d? |

Haha its better than the downward crap that was there. There is no sound difference what so ever as its only the tip. I don't have a picture of the weld.

Anyone know anywhere in York/Leeds area that would do a good job? I have a tendancy to pick rubbish independant places!!
Thanks for the pic - was thinking of debadging myself, any tutorials knocking about? |

I went to a local exhaust place in Scotland. They chopped off the oval pipe and welded on a twin exit. Looks much better. They charged £65 supplied and fitted. Do a Google search for custom exhaust places near you, them Google them. They will pop up in a forum somewhere for recommendations.

Sorry for the size of that pic. That makes your eyes go weird looking at it so close up!
To debadge, heat up with a hairdryer and then pull the badges off with dental floss. Use some glue remover to get rid of the remaining stickiness. |

Thanks stupot, much appreciated.
Think there is a powerflow dealer in Doncaster which isn't too far. My concern is getting something that looks stock - whenver I google for exhausts I get something like this! mmmm that would look nice! |

stupot do you know what diameter yours are?
These look pretty similar to OEM? They come in the following sizes - any idea which would be best? TiR63 - 2½"T x 9" TiR76 - 3"T x 9" TiR85 - 3"T x 9" TiR101 - 4"T x 9" |

Not sure the diameter, but I will measure tomorrow and let you know.
I wanted the stock look too, didn’t want anything boy racer. Most exhaust places will have a good selection of tips. They had the usual big bore boy racer stuff and some standard looking tips. These were the closest to factory I could get. Maybe just slightly bigger than factory, but you wouldn’t notice unless they were parked next to each other. |

One other think to watch out for, the left had pipe is slightly shorter than the right one so that it follows the line of the bumper. You cant really see it in the picture as it's been taken at a bad angle.
Again an exhaust specialist will sort this for you, if you want a drive up to Ayrshire I can recommend a man who can. |

cheers Stu - much appreciated, i'll wait to hear your reply. Hoping to get this fitted at the weekend - although i'll have to debadge beforehand - don't want any 330 owners harassing me on the way home from Doncaster! :-)

I paid £85 in the end which included the trim and fitting. I would have gone to mstyle though if I lived closer. I went to a powerflow dealer so the quality should be good.
As for debadging - it was really easy, especially as it was -1 outside and snowing when I did it. If it was a nice day I suspect it would be even easier! Here's the finished result: |
