Information after search stays on Nav Map -map icons HELP!

ok, last week, i used the search function to look for a closest ATM at my current position. Now, I dont need this function anymore , i dont need it telling me where all the ATM's are in the whole city.

there is no way to tell the NAV to stop searching for ATM's? is there a way to disable it?

I know pressing the 'i' button, can hide all map icons. but this means the nav is contuning to search for ATM's? can you stop it from searching and stop displaying?

as far as I understand it, the icons on the display are based on the last search. Unless you run the search again, iDrive is not continuously searching. Once you select to hide the icons, you're done.
