Buttonwillow video...one of a pretty fast friend of mine

My friend competed in the Eurotuner GP ...and this was one of his practice laps...(BTW, he is also the owner of a Laguna Blue E46 M3 < - - - BMW content in this thread)

This car is smokin fast. It is an Audi A4..with a really modified VR6 engine.

I dunno..but I bet we can count from the video. I have no idea of decent times at Buttonwillow since they change the track configuration so much...and direction. What he ran is what I run most of the time I go there...with full star mazda...the bus stop...

Christian runs in the Koni Challenge series in a Civic...and has run successfully in Spec Miata (top 5). He also ran in World Challenge Touring car in a Jetta.

Looks like he did a (roughly) 2:02, do you know what tires he was on?

2:02s is moving pretty good for 13CW, but a car like that should be able to run sub 2 minutes, so I'd expect his times to drop with a little more practice. He does appear to be a little short on grip though. I don't know what tires he's on, but they don't appear to be R-comps or anything really sticky. And he definitely has the power to go faster, that's for sure.

Yeah..I think Eurotuner required a specific NON R compound tire.

I have known Christian probably since 2000. He let me drive his E46 M3 at Thunderhill when he first got it back in 2000. Here is a pic of he and I entering the back straight at TH...circa 2001. (he is in the M3..and I am in my S4)
