BMW radio losing satellite presets
Last week I picked up my new 328xi with satellite radio. I set all my presets and everything was fine. This afternoon when I turned on the radio all the presets were gone and every channel was tunes to 001.
The radio didn't lose any other settings such as FM, AM or tone settings so it's not an interruption in power problem. Has anyone else seen this happen and I wonder if there's a technical bulletin on it? |

I had the same thing happen to me the day after my Sirius was installed 3 wks ago, but it has not happened since. I cant seem to get any concrete info, but I've heard of other people experiencing the same quirk...

Has happened to me a couple of times - next time I get in the car they are back. Everything is software and I think these cars are windows based so what do you expect.

Mine has lost the presets a couple of times, and other times has lost the Sirius license altogether, prompting the "Call 1-800-XXX-XXXX to activate" message. Both the license and the presets come back if you turn the car off and let it go into sleep mode, and then restart it. It's crap that a $35,000+ car does this, no?

Both our cars have a tendancy to switch to FM radio after we've been listening to Sirius and the car has been to sleep. Quite odd. I mentioned it to my dealer when the E90 was in for service but naturally it didn't do that when they had it.
